Dressing Up Tequila
On Cinco de Mayo, which commemorates the anniversary of the 1862 Mexican victory over the French imperialists in the Battle of Puebla, Americans typically pay respects with a taste of the national spirit—tequila—of our neighbor to the south. Because the holiday is something of an observance of liberation, Wine Spectator's Jack Bettridge suggests celebrating the newfound freedom to drink cocktails that showcase the improved tequilas that now abound.
