About

Keith Newton joined Wine Spectator in 2005 and was promoted to assistant managing editor in 2018. After eight years in that role, he was appointed managing editor in 2026. A native New Yorker who lives in Brooklyn, Newton is also a poet who studied literature and writing at Northwestern University and in the graduate program at Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to his editorial responsibilities, Newton writes Wine Spectator’s values features, covering affordable wines from around the world.
