Who’s behind it: The Wine Spectator Restaurant Award–winning seafood and steak house concept Ocean Prime has officially opened its 21st location, in Nashville, marking its debut in Tennessee. The restaurant is housed in Nashville Yards, a new mixed-use hub a short walk from the state capitol.
Two other Ocean Prime locations, in Las Vegas and New York City, hold Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards. The brand’s parent company, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, is known for its strong investment in wine programs. The group’s portfolio includes 70 restaurants nationwide, and it has a significant presence in Ohio, including Wine Spectator Restaurant Award winners Cento and Butcher & Rose.
When it opened: April 21, 2026
The menu: The cuisine is seafood-centric with a backdrop of modern steak house fare, allowing for a wide variety of choices. The “smoking” shellfish tower is a customizable presentation of oysters, lobster, king crab and shrimp designed for both visual impact and sharing. (Dry ice creates a smoke-like vapor as the dish is presented.) Sushi rolls and nigiri are offered in addition to appetizers such as lobster bisque, jumbo lump crab cakes and ahi tartare.

Entrée options include Chilean sea bass with broccolini and truffle vinaigrette, sea scallops with Parmesan risotto and grouper with lobster and gnocchi. Steak house classics are also prominent. A range of prime cuts—from filet mignon to bone-in ribeye—are broiled at high heat and offered with finishes including truffle butter, blue cheese, bearnaise and more.
Executive chef Julio Juarez leads the kitchen. “Our goal is to create dishes that guests can come back to again and again, where the quality and execution are always there,” he says. “We want every detail to feel thoughtful and intentional.”
The wine program: California makes up the lion’s share of the 180-selection list, though plenty of international options are also available. Beverage director Zach Montgomery explained the philosophy behind the list: “Our wine program is designed to elevate the guest experience while remaining approachable and engaging. We focus on classic regions and benchmark producers, with a dynamic selection that pairs seamlessly with the menu.”
By-the-glass offerings range from Piper Sonoma Brut and Domaine Carneros Brut Rosé to Far Niente Chardonnay, Ratti Barolo and Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon. Napa Valley plays a leading role in the red bottle selections, though France and Italy are also featured. Champagne is well represented with producers such as Veuve Clicquot, Laurent-Perrier and Dom Pérignon.
A “captain’s list” includes bottles from blue-chip producers like Opus One, Dominus, Ornellaia and Penfolds Grange.
The design: The sleek interior features curvy leather banquettes, large windows that provide ample natural light, an impressive U-shaped central bar and shiny glass wine walls filled with bottles. There is seating for roughly 370 guests and two covered terraces totaling 2,400 square feet, along with multiple private dining rooms for events and group dining.
While Nashville Yards is a destination in its own right, it is also well-situated for pre-show dining and visits to the Frist Art Museum, Country Music Hall of Fame and more.
